Session Report for Force and Destiny: The Power of the Force Compels You!

11/8/2015

So in today's Force and Destiny game we continued our adventures and went in search of holocrons in order restore power and functions to the Jedi Temple known as the Temple of Dawn. Along the way we fought more ice wolves and purged a cave of it's dark side taint, gaining the means to construct our own lightsabers in a future sessions.

GM - Played by Navin Nathaniel Innasi
Silara Aah'valia the Cerean Niman Disciple - Played by Razzman Khaliff
Fit Kisto the Nautolan Shii-Cho Knight - Played Carlos Yan
Dao the Zabrak Makashi Duelist - Played by Khi-Jon Chua
"insert name here" the Mirialan Ataru Striker - Played by Jonathan Naun

Previously we had journeyed to the planet of Spintir in order to find our master Romund Hethan. We found that she had been taken to a temple somewhere in the valley by a dark sider named Malefax. After fighting through many ice wolves to get to the temple, we confronted Malefax and his goons and were victorious. However in strange turn of events Romund Hethan attacked us once she found out that we have been travelling together, she told us of a dark prophecy where all of us together would bring great evil and so with heavy hearts we were forced to strike her down. With Romund dead we had thought that our hopes of being trained to become true jedi was lost but the sentient AI known as the Gatekeeper promised us that the facilities within the temple would be enough to train us provided that we repair it, of course.
Picture
According to gate keeper, the Temple of Dawn was secret Jedi Temple known only to the highest masters of the Jedi Order but after many years of neglect has fallen into disrepair and looted by adherents of the dark side such as Malefax and his ilk. In order to restore the temple to it's former glory we had to look for a number of Jedi holocrons that have been scattered around the valley. The holocrons were ancient recording devices made by Jedi that could only be activated by a force users that contained the wisdom and knowledge of the masters of old.
Picture
We began our search for the holocrons within the valley and were able to determine a cave as possible location. The locals had avoided the cave out of superstition due to it being tainted by the dark side. As we made our way towards the cave a snowdrift led us astray and into an ambush with deadly predators known as ice wolves who have been driven mad and ravenous by the dark side. Thankfully our jedi powers made dealing with the wolves an easy enough affair and we continued to proceed towards the cave.

The cave known as the cave of light and shadow was a place of trials where many a Jedi in the past as well as some locals came to face their fears and meditate. The caves serve both as place of darkness but also enlightenment but an excess of dark side energies had disrupted this balance of light and dark and instead turned it into a place of evil. Hunters in the area have spotted a large number of wolves that have laired there and that they are being led by a vicious matriarch that have by the day grown more bolder, attacking the nearby human settlement. A palpable sense of foreboding overwhelmed us as we neared the cave entrance and we had to rely on our discipline to steel ourselves against the corrupting influence of the dark side. We also were able to sense that one of holocrons we were looking for was within this cave and knew that it was the will of the force that had led us to this cave.
Picture
The caves appeared to be a crystal cave of some sort and it was obvious that the crystals within had a connection to the force as we were able to observe a myriad of images within the many facets of the crystals that detailed the history of this cave and everyone that had come into it. In one particular chamber we saw a large crystal that detailed the interactions of a great mother wolf and a particularly malicious human hunter. It would seem that evil acts of this hunter had allowed the darkside to fester within the once noble wolf and twisted it into a creature of ravening hunger and pure evil. We then knew what we had to do to cleanse this cave of it's taint, which was to excise the wolf matriarch of its darkside taint either by killing it or by using our connection to the light side of the force. Proceeding into another chamber we found the holocron lying on the floor strewn among the bones the various animals and/or humans that these wolves had been preying upon. Soon after we were beset by a large pack of wolves and led by particularly large and vicious den mother, the corrupted matriarch we saw in the crystals.
Picture
Surrounded on all sides we bunched together to cover our flanks and decided that 4 of us should focus on exorcising the darkside from the matriarch while the shii-cho knight tanked the matriarch. However the Nautolan knight was too overzealous in his hatred of such a abomination decided that he would kill her outright and we had to struggle against time to excise the taint before our bloodthirsty friend could kill her. This was made considerably harder by the fact that we had 12 smaller wolves to fend off while we were doing this and after awhile the wolves managed to overwhelm our friend, the Zabrak Mystic. But in the end we were able to excise the taint before Fit Kisto the Nautolan could land the killing blow and the wolf matriarch was redeemed by the light side but overcome from it's exertions died from exhaustion. For awhile it felt like we had fought in vain coz the matriarch died anyway but at least we managed to redeem it to the light and bring balance once again. With their matriarch gone the other wolves dispersed back into the wilds and with the holocron in tow we returned to the temple.
Picture
Installing the holocron back in the holocron chamber reactivated some of the temple's facilities and we had access to a new gatekeeper AI that would be able to instruct us further in the ways of the Force. Furthermore, the holocron opened access to a room with materials to construct a lightsaber hilt and all we needed now were lightsaber crystals to construct our own lightsabers! Fortunately the cave of Light and Shadow that we were just in had the crystals needed but we would need to perform a vision quest to find our crystals as stated by our new Jedi Master holocron AI. Constructing our own lightsabers would prove a great milestone in our path to becoming true Jedi and we were eager and ready for the trials that awaited us.
Picture
Okay so that's the session report of today's game and I have to say that this game is alot more touchy feely than I expected, I thought we would just go around swinging lightsabers and fighting bad guys but boy does this game emphasize on the whole taint of the darkside thing. It felt kinda comical to go around trying to purge the wolf matriarch of its dark side taint coz it felt like we were like Father Lankaster from 'The Exorcist' going around invoking "The power of the Force compels you!"  with our discipline checks to 'exorcise' the dark side possessing the wolf while our crazy friend Carlos was hacking away with his sword. Our GM Navin later revealed that had we chosen to just slay the matriarch outright that the cave would collapse and we would have lost our lightsaber crystal cave, so I guess it's worthwhile afterall. So now all we need to do is think up of what lightsabers we wanna construct and this whole vision quest thing would be a big deal coz we fail we might not find a crystal or get a lame ass crystal or something. I think I'm going to go for a green hued crystal in single lightsaber coz its a consular thing I might consider dual wielding with a shoto offhand later but for now I'm just go single saber. Until next time guys, see ya!

Session Report for Pathfinder: The Quest for the Missing Heirloom

6/30/2015

Hello there everyone! So I ran a Pathfinder game for the KDU game dev students during the practice session for their Board Game session event. We had a merry adventure where the players spent more time trying to swindle a horse merchant for a carriage than they did actual adventuring but in the end they did complete the quest I gave them, so it was all good.

Lirriane the Gunslinger - Played Nivlac Cheong
Seelah the Paladin - Played Mohamad Amir Bin Saad
Hayato the Samurai - Played by Tyran To Yu Wen
Harsk the Ranger - Played by Sebastian Khoo
GM - Razzman Khaliff

We begin our adventure with 4 heroes looking for a job in the City of Saltspire and after sifting through the city's notice board they find a promising job being offered by someone called Lord Shinjo who lived in the noble's district. Wasting no time to meet with their new employer they find out that Lord Shinjo is looking for a missing shipment which was supposed to be sent to him about a week ago. Lord Shinjo then tells of a particular sword that was of interest to him and that he would be willing to pay for it's safe return.
Picture
Using the Paladin's detect evil as well as the Samurai's sense motive the party attempted to determine if Lord Shinjo was on the up and up. To no surprise they found that he was neither lying nor was evil but after some probing they were able to get Lord Shinjo to confess that the heirloom he was looking for was a katana that belonged to his brother. He then explains that his in order to regain his family's honor in the court of the Jade Empire he must find his brother's sword. The sword was lost when Shinjo's brother was defeated in an Iaijutsu duel against a rival samurai. The sword's location became sketchy after that and Lord Shinjo had to send his agents to find it. When it was finally found he ordered for the sword to be transported to him via a caravan, unfortunately the caravan was waylaid by bandits along the way and thus he has commissioned our heroes to find his brother's sword so that his family may regain their honor.
Picture
Convinced by Lord Shinjo's tale the party accepted the mission and proceeded to leave. Shinjo also told them that he had a contact in the village of Stillwater who was supposed to report of the caravan arrival and that he would be able to point the party in the right direction. However the village was 3 days away by foot and our heroes did not relish the prospects of footing it the entire way there and so decided that their first order of business was to procure a ride there.

At first all 4 of them attempted to ride the Samurai's camel all at once but the poor beast made sluggish progress to say the least, fortunately a promoter for "Saddlebags' Equestrian Emporium" was nearby to point them in the direction of the best horse merchant around. Heading there they meet the owner of the Emporium who was a half-orc named Gurgthak Saddlebags who proceeded to show the party his menagerie of beasts of burden.
Picture
However, once again suspicious of everyone they meet the party employed the familiar tactic of detecting evil and sense motive which once again yielded no alarming results. Now that they able to discuss business the party explained that they needed a carriage but were unfortunately short of coin to afford one.
Picture
To this end they created an elaborate ruse to convince Saddlebags that their camel was a "super camel" capable of carrying 4 men. At first Saddlebags declined but after some superior convincing skills from our Paladin Seelah they were able to get Saddlebags to allow a trade-in of their camel for one of his carriages. However, realizing that they then had no steeds to pull the damned thing they told saddlebags that they would scout out other markets to find a better deal. A visibly distraught Saddlebags then proceeded to mope around in a corner, disappointed that the "super camel" was out of his grasp.

It was at this point that the party decided to split up, with the Gunslinger deciding to get a drink in a tavern and the paladin who was curious to partake in local vegan delicacies proceeded to visit stalls in the market district while the the rest of the party went to see if another merchant was able to provide mounts that were more up their price range.

Lirriane the Gunslinger came across a peculiar scene in the tavern where a mysterious hooded man was observing a group of 3 halflings. When asked about his business the stranger merely brushed off Lirriane exclaiming that he was on important business and wished not to be disturbed. Observing the halflings Lirriane saw that one of the halflings was wearing a necklace with a ring attached to it was visibly in daze compared to his more jovial companions who were excited about the large tankards of ale they just purchased. However, she realized that this was way more trouble than it was worth decided to leave quietly after finishing her drink.
Picture
Meanwhile Seelah the Paladin who due to her vows adhered to a strict vegan diet and refused to partake in the usual fare prevalent in the street stalls of Saltspire's market district. Fortunately in a quiet corner she spotted a stall selling vegan burgers which delighted the follower of light and righteousness greatly.

Needing to find a more affordable ride for their journey to Stillwater our heroes find another horse emporium called "Al's Horse Shack" which was a far dingier and dilapidated establishment than Saddlebags' emporium. While Old Al the owner did indeed have a carriage it was far too banged up and worn to survive the journey to Stillwater. Realizing that Saddlebags was indeed the better choice the party regrouped to meet with the half-orcish merchant.

Once again at "Saddlebags' Equestrian Emporium" our heroes confronted Saddlebags requesting for a better deal and Saddlebags who at this point was so consumed by the idea of owning a "super camel" that he finally gave the party a good deal of a carriage along with two horses in exchange for their "super camel" and 30 gold. With their ride all settled our party are finally able to set off on their adventure!
Picture
Taking only a day and half to reach Stillwater our heroes arrive around the afternoon with a few hours before sundown. Once there after taking a short respite at the local tavern they go to meet Lord Shinjo's contact, a man by the name of Ralph. As it turns out Ralph was sheep herder like most of the villagers in Stillwater and upon meeting him, he tells them a large group of bandits have made their homes somewhere deep in the forests nearby. Ralph also tells them that the caravan must be some distance away from the western exit of the village as caravans usually come from that direction to the village before arriving in Stillwater. Harsk the Dwarven Ranger used his tracking abilities to track the caravan based upon tracks of other caravans that have travelled the road and it is not long before they find the remnants of the carriage which was wrecked and riddled with arrows, unfortunately all the guards and occupants were killed.
Picture
By the time they reached the caravan it was already late evening and the sun was beginning to set, they would have begin the search for the bandit tomorrow and set up camp somewhere along the road to rest. Lirriane decided to take first watch and at one point he saw the flicker of a torch somewhere deep in the forest but nothing much happened and it was Harsk's turn to keep watch. On his watch she heard a rustle coming from the bushes on the other side of the road and she immediately roused her companions awake.
Picture
By the time the ambushers were getting to strike our heroes had already been awake and soon battle was joined. The bandits having lost the element of surprise found it hard to overcome our mighty heroes even though they outnumbered the party by 2. Seelah fought bravely with her longsword defending the rest of the party, Lirriane found herself in a disadvantageous position and was quickly surrounded by 3 of the bandits but thankfully her training allowed to fend off her attackers, Harsk shot volley after volley of arrows from afar using his wolf to harass the bandits on right flank and Hayato's armor and samurai training served him well on battlefield with none of the bandits able to land a blow on him. Eventually the ambushers were defeated and instead of fighting to the death the last 2 bandits surrendered promising to tell the party where the rest of their ne'er do well friends were hiding. To ensure that the 2 bandits were not misleading them by bringing them into a trap, Lirriane shot one of the bandits in cold blood. The last bandit named Milton then leads the party through the forest toward the main bandit camp.
Picture
Once at a good vantage point plan their next move and in true cold blooded fashion kill their captive, Milton the Bandit (Perhaps I should have forced an alignment change here but it was a one shot so whatever...). Harsk the Ranger volunteered to sneak in the camp as there was only a skeleton crew of sentries patrolling the camp, with great success he was able to find a loose part of the wooden rampart and snuck into the camp. Proceeding cautiously toward the biggest tent in the camp Harsk soon found a large cache of boxes and barrels and tried to look inside of them for Shinjo's sword but there was nothing but supplies and food in them. Tempting fate he bravely tip-toed his way into the large tent where he found the bandit leader sleeping but that wasn't his target and so he looked around some more and eventually found a Daisho set placed upon a mantelpiece, seeing that the sword had a intricate design and a Crane logo on it he then took the blade and snuck out of the camp with it successfully.
Picture
With the blade in tow, their quest was a success the only thing now was to return to Shinjo with the sword and get their reward. But not without leaving the bandits with a parting gift. Using the last of the alchemical fire the Gunslinger had, Lirriane threw it into the camp setting fire to one of the tents and causing major disarray among the ranks of the Bandits, the party watched a large part of the camp caught fire with panicking bandits scrambling to put out the fire. Now was a good time as any to leave and with the sun coming up the party departed to Saltspire post haste.

Once back in the city the party was well compensated for their efforts by Lord Shinjo, his family's honor was at last intact with the return of his brother's sword. The party bid their farewells and got ready to plan their next adventure...

THE END

Alright you guys there was my session report for the game I ran for KDU Board Game Session club, it was a fun game for the players most of whom had never experienced tabletop RPGs before. As this was meant as an intro to RPGs it was only a one shot but if interests are there I can be convinced to run a more episodic campaign for them, we will have to see. I will be running a second game for them in the coming week and if I'm not too lazy or busy perhaps I'll post up another session report. So until next time guys, see ya!

Session Report for VTM New York by Night: Breaking News! Terror in the Fordham Heights.

6/29/2015

Locals of Fordham Heights on the East 184th Street were rocked by terror tonight after a group of unknown assailants proceeded to fire shots and cause a gas explosion in one of the apartments in that area. Police believe that a group of four men had kidnapped a couple along with their three month old child who were living on the second floor of the Creston Avenue apartments.
Picture
According to witnesses the incident happened around midnight when the assailants broke down the apartment door and proceeded to open fire into the apartment. It is believed that the assailants then chased the occupants up the fire escape and fired two more shots on the roof of the building. The assailants then proceeded descend down the fire escape firing several shots along the way to panic nearby bystanders. A man from across the street claims that he then saw the assailants step into a black limousine fleeing the scene but was unable to identify the car's license plate number.
Picture
At least one man was killed when one of the assailants threw him off the fire escape on the eighth floor while he was trying to flee the scene of the crime. The Fire Brigade sent to the area report that no one was killed in the explosion and state that there is high likelihood that the couple along with their child survived the blast that engulfed their apartment. Witnesses claim that at least one of the assailants was wearing a horse headed mask and that he had purposely set the apartment on fire by turning on all the gas stoves and causing the explosion.
Picture
Close to the scene of the crime a police officer as well as a homeless man were seriously injured after an unknown assailant assaulted them with a sword. At this point, it is unknown whether the two incidents are related. Investigations are still ongoing and police ask that anyone with any information regarding any of the incidents please come forward  to give a statement at the local police station.

Alright guys there's a brief report of the VTM game that I ran for the Gentlemen of the Rings group. *sigh* I told the group that this would be a Camarilla game but alas the Gentlemen group will always play any game with guns blazing and killing everything in sight. The Masquerade means shit to them but nonetheless I will continue to run this game and see how things turn out. I can't believe I read the entire campaign book for NY by Night and most of it is now for naught because of what the players did.

Below is a brief overview of everything that happened in that session.

Michael Clayton the Lasombra Antitribu - Played by Navin Nathaniel Innasi
John the Tremere - Played by Jonathan Naun
Formerly known as Prince the Nosferatu - Played by Carlos Yan
Norton A. Virus the Brujah - Played by Khi-Jon Chua
Storyteller - Razzman Khaliff

In this game  "The Fist of Caine" coterie were tasked by the Prince Carter Vanderweyden to kill a bunch of thin bloods that were plaguing the city. After meeting up David Morgan who was the Scourge for the city they proceed to assault the apartment where a thin blood couple were living in. They then fled in their vehicle and drove toward a warehouse owned one by of the characters where they questioned the thin bloods about who sired them.

Consequently they then executed the thin blooded couple as per their orders but decided to spare the couple's three month old child. After that, they attempted to track the sire of the couple who was last seen wandering the streets near a walmart by the East 181st street. Their only lead is that the kindred responsible was a young lady with short red hair often seen wearing a denim jacket.

Session report for Legend of the 5 Rings: Tragedy in the Dragon Castle

6/3/2015

Hello there everyone it's your pal Razz-to the-Razzy Razzman here once with another session report, this time we are donning our kimonos and unsheathing our katanas coz we're going to Rokugan, it's L5R time! This was the game run by my old pal Carlos Yan and would be my 2nd foray into the lands of Rokugan. Now at first we decided to play this game using D&D 3.0 rules with the Oriental Adventures supplement but when we got so immersed in the lore of L5R and enthusiastic about our clans and stuff we decided to fully commit by playing with proper L5R rules opting for the more simple 1st edition of L5R.
Picture
Now, Legend of the 5 Rings or L5R as it's commonly called is the definitive "Samurai" RPG where players play as noble samurai from one of the 5 great clans of Rokugan. Unlike typical RPGs where the object of the game to kill monsters and loot stuff, L5R places more emphasis on roleplay and social combat while having specialized rules for ritualistic duels between Samurai known as Iaijutsu duels.
Picture
In this game being a member of a clan influences your world view and how you treat others in the game. In essence being a member of clan makes you a hardcore fanboy of that clan, you adhere fully to your clans views and believe that your clan is superior to the others. For example, the Crab Clan are staunch defenders of the Carpenter Wall and they fight daily against the threat of the Shadowlands. They consider themselves the true defenders of the Empire and as such see clans like the Crane and Scorpion clan as weaklings that hide behind politics and intrigue unworthy of their lofty positions in society. Likewise a member of the Crane Clan would see the Crab as brutish louts with no place in proper civilized society. Each clan has a certain stereotype and have different views on the other clans but they all serve dutifully as Samurai before the Emperor and their respective Clan Daimyos.

GM - Played by Carlos Yan
Daidoji Hisoka the Crane Bushi - Played by Razzman Khaliff
Doji Kaien the Crane Bushi - Played by Navin Nathaniel Innasi
Rinsho the Shinsei Monk  - Played by Khi-Jon Chua
Isawa Shuto the Phoenix Shugenja - Played by Sharvan Bhojwani
Akodo Soju the Lion Bushi - Played by Yip Weng San
Shosuro Shinji the Scorpion Ninja - Played by Jonathan Naun
Picture
Our story begins with our heroes in the lands of the reclusive Dragon Clan where a Yakuza syndicate is at large oppressing the commonfolk all the while being ruled the acting Daimyo Lord Akashi. The Daimyo Lord Kumenera, Akashi's father is too old and weary of the daily politics and has since3 years ago decided to seclude himself in the mountains and become a monk or at least that is what everybody is led to believe.
Picture
Our heroes are received well as guests of the Dragon Clan and even got to befriend some of the samurai there such as Doji Kaien befriending Naruhiko Mirumoto after a friendly Iaijutsu duel. Daidoji Hisoka meanwhile became acquainted with Lady Tomoyo Mirumoto after the former presented the Lady with a painting of the gardens as a gift to the gracious Dragon hosts. However, Akodo Soju was so incensed of the Yakuza's oppression of the people that he decided to storm off and lead a peasant revolution against the Yakuza.
Picture
All seemed well until it came time for dinner when Lord Akashi was seen talking favourably  with someone proclaiming himself as Lord Shoto Kami although he was no Samurai just a Lord in name and to make matters worse a surprise arrival of Lord Kumenera himself shocked everyone as the Daimyo had not been seen in years and all the while looking alot worse for wear as if he had been stricken with some illness. While the proceedings of dinner tried to commence as usual there was a palpable sense of foreboding and that was proven true when a herald announced that the Daimyo's Daisho (Set of samurai swords) had been stolen and that the prime suspect was Naruhiko, the Lord's own samurai and new friend of Doji Kaien who had left the ceremony some before the dinner. The loss of one's Daisho is a great dishonor to any samurai and the loss of a Daimyo's ancestral daisho was an even greater insult to the clan and family. In a fit of rage filled shame Lord Akashi tore off his kimono and proclaimed that the only way for his father to salvage his honor was to commit seppuku (ritualistic suicide). Doji Kaien decided to slip away during this whole commotion to find Naruhiko and find out what was going on. Daidoji Hisoka however managed to stop the situation from getting worse by volunteering to find the Daimyo's Daisho and swearing to regain Lord Kumenera's honor before word got out to the other clans.
Picture
Meanwhile Doji Kaien had managed to get to the stables and soon after pursued a carriage flying Dragon colors riding post haste out of the city. Daidoji Hisoka came by minutes later trying to follow tracks of the horses leaving but found it hard with it being night and all. Rinsho the Shinsei monk who had been outside all this while caught up to Doji Kaien and even managed to stop the carriage only to find that it was decoy with a fake Naruhiko stand in wearing the green robes of the Dragon clan along with a mouthy Nezumi (Ratfolk) who seemed to know the whole plot between Lord Akashi and Shoto Kami who had conspired together to overthrow Lord Kumenera and have Akashi ascend the throne. They intended to have Kumenera's daisho stolen and pin the crime on Naruhiko whom they abducted shortly before the dinner began, with the loss of the Daisho they had hoped of forcing Lord Kumenera to commit seppuku in order to regain his honor in death thus securing Akashi's ascension.

However despite this revelation our heroes could not confront the traitorous Lord Akashi just yet, they still needed proof and there was only one place to get it... Lord Shoto Kami's fortress which was not far away from the Dragon City. Donning yakuza disguises our heroes slipped into the fortress and even managed to enter Lord Shoto Kami's inner sanctum. While seemingly recounting his brilliant plan to his "followers", Doji Kaien skilled in the Kakita school of Iaijutsu managed to kill the pretentious Lord Shoto Kami. Soon after yakuza guards poured out and our heroes were forced to fight the attackers but being true Samurai dispatched of the filthy criminals easily.
Picture
Searching the fortress for the missing Daisho our heroes also managed to find Naruhiko who was kidnapped by the yakuza. With the Ancestral Daisho recovered and Naruhiko accounted for the time came to confront Akashi but our heroes needed a plan because they could not simply lay all these accusation before Lord Akashi being only guests of the Dragon clan, they needed someone of Dragon descent who was free of suspicion to back up their claim. The only candidate lied in Lady Tomoyo who was not only an honorable samurai but Kumenera's daughter and Akashi sister. In secret our heroes sent word out to meet Lady Tomoyo outside the castle and telling her everything. The nezumi captured earlier proved a  valuable witness who was able to reveal that Lord Kumenera had been poisoned all this while by his own son to ensure that his father was too weak to oppose him. Rinsho along with the Shugenja Isawa Shuto were able to verify this and even determine the poison to be Black Lotus extract, a type of poison found only in the Shadowlands. Now with the full extent of Akashi treachery known, there was only one thing to do... confront him the very next morning.

The next morning sometime after breakfast, Lady Tomoyo along with her entourage confronted Akashi and asked him to face justice for all that he has done before all the other Dragon lords present. Our heroes corroborated her story and presented proof of his misdeeds. With all these accusations thrown at him Akashi had only one route of escape and that was to challenge his own sister to an Iaijutsu duel to let the Kami decide who is their favoured.
Picture
Preparations were made soon after for this most official of ceremonies gathering all the lords of the Dragon lands to witness the duel. With Lady Tomoyo's prowess as Samurai widely known it was the shared opinion of many that she would win but Lord Akashi was no slouch either having trained in the same Niten technique as his sister.

The duel proceeded with both opponent assessing each other's abilities for in an Iaijustu duel it was not the strongest who would win but the fastest. Both duelists were allowed to back out honorably at this point for there was no shame for recognizing a skilled opponents ability but neither would back down. Lady Tomoyo and Lord Akashi then eyed each other intently awaiting for the best moment to strike.
Picture
But when the time came to strike it was Lord Akashi who drew first and with lightning speed struck down Tomoyo before she could draw her katana. Lady Tomoyo crashed to the ground much to the agony of Daidoji Hisoka whom had carried an affection for her after their encounter in the gardens. Lord Akashi had won and it was clear to all that he was the favored of the Kami. With his victory all the accusations against him were rendered null and void, to make matters worse with this he was vindicated and was properly recognized as Daimyo of the Dragon lands finally succeeding his father. It would seem that all of this was just part of Akashi's plan...

As for heroes they had to depart in shame and were banished from the Dragon lands and were told never to return under pain of death. Naruhiko was forced to be stripped of his title as samurai and forced to wander the lands as a Ronin donning a hood in shame as he left...
Picture
Daidoji Hisoka saddened by the loss of his one chance at marriage with Lady Tomoyo reconsidered his quest and after receiving a missive from his lands that war had broke out and that his whole entire family was killed was left with no choice but to leave the party and travel back to his lands to grieve for his loss.

The rest of party then set off for a soon to be determined destination to continue their original quest of investigating reports of nezumi attacks, unfortunately their nezumi captive from the night before had managed to escape, biting through it's bonds. And so the adventure continues...

As the sun looms over the horizon, a rumble of thunder can be heard in the distance... far in the heart of the Shadowlands... The Day of Thunder was fast approaching...

Alright you guys there you go my session report for L5R I had alot of fun playing this game with the Gentlemen we all seem to have a similar mindset on how to play this game our way. Previously I had played L5R under a different DM but it wasn't quite to my tastes and interests and decided to bow out. For some time I believed that L5R was a game I could never understand but I guess with the right group any game can be fun.

Session report for D&D 5th Edition Eberron: All trains lead to the Mournlands.

5/16/2015

What is up you guys, it's me Razz-to the-Razzy Razzman here once with another session report for D&D 5th edition Eberron.  This will be continuation of the 5th ed game my pal Navin ran last week.

Eliantir the Elf Fighter - Played by Razzman Khaliff
Niles the Human Cleric - Played by Yip Weng San
Vein D'Tharashk the Human Rogue - Played by Khi-Jon Chua
Krav the Warforged Bard - Played by Sharvan Bhojwani
GM - Navin Nathaniel Innasi

Now in our last episode of Eberron we left our heroes just as they had chartered a train for an expedition to the Mournlands. This expedition is paid for by House Cannith South and their employer Malys D'Cannith gave explicit orders to keep the expedition on the down low as they do not want any of their rivals knowing about it. However despite best efforts it would seem that an agent from an unknown house has managed to use trickery to find out about the expedition. Although the party had tried to find this mysterious agent alas, they were unsuccessful and had no choice but to take the freight train leaving for the Mournlands.
Picture
Aside from the setback with someone knowing about the expedition the heroes decide to continue on and proceed with the journey. As agreed upon previously Eliantir and Vein will board the freight train and guard the cargo for the expedition. Although they arrived safely at their destination a few surprises happened along the journey such as an overzealous monk blowing up the rear end of the train after finding out that some of the passengers were smuggling slaves or some such and Eliantir finding out that part of the cargo they were carrying contained within it a re-activated warforged. Eliantir and Niles decide to keep the existence of the Warforged a secret until Malys arrives to decide what to do with it.
Picture
Meanwhile, Niles along Malys and the rest of her entourage with addition of a "mysterious" elven lady named Ellandra board the passenger train bound for the Mournlands. Niles true to his Silverflame nature made the otherwise uneventful trip interesting by being particularly ornery to the train staff. Later at one stop before reaching the Mournlands causes trouble with local authorities after causing obstruction of justice by allowing a juvenile thief to escape because he wrongfully believed  that the kid was innocent and when brought in for questioning he almost misses the train but manages to get back on just in time after using a dirty trick to evade capture.
Picture
The party is reunited when Niles along with Malys and her entourage arrive in the Mournlands. When enquired about the "surprise" content of the cargo by Eliantir and Vein, Malys proclaims that she had no idea that the Warforged was there or that he along with un-activated brethren were ever part of the intended cargo for this expedition. The Warforged who announces himself as Krav who says that his last memory was serving in the war hundred of years ago which of course is consistent with the general history of the Warforged who were created to serve the in the war for House Cannith. Malys inducts Krav into the group and elects him chief of security given his experience on the battlefield.
Picture
Later, the party decides to rest for the night before setting tomorrow for the journey into the Mournlands. Eliantir, Vein and Niles note with some suspicion the latest addition to the expedition, Malys' new elven friend Ellandra who conveniently joined up at the very  last minute it seems. It was not long before their suspicions were aroused further when Malys became the victim of theft in the night by a mysterious agent. The thief had managed to run off with some jewelery and more importantly Malys' divining rods which were essential to finding the way through the Mournlands. The only one with Malys at the time? Malys elven friend, Ellandra of course. But with nothing concrete to prove their suspicion the party decide to keep their theories to themselves. The party did of course try to locate the thief but were unsuccessful , managing only find a suspect who unsurprisingly did not have the items in her possession.
Picture
Nevertheless the expedition proceeded as planned the next day with everyone packed and ready. The loss of Malys' Divining Rods would make the journey ahead difficult but not impossible, Malys decides to leave the task of tracking and navigation to the group's tracker Elliantir. The first steps into the Mournlands would prove to the most trying with Malys explaining that a constant magical storm surrounds the boundary of the Mournlands and getting lost would be easy with the chaotic magical energies kicking up sandstorms. But nonetheless our heroes proceed into the threshold of the unknown...

Session report for Pathfinder Heroes of the Imperium: The God Forged Rebellion.

4/15/2015

Hello there everyone it's Razz-to the-Razzy Razzman here once with another session report for my pal Alex's Pathfinder game.

So, this particular Pathfinder campaign that I'm playing in is my regular Friday night game and we have been playing this one for about 3 years now. We've leveled up all the way to level 14 now and we are also mythic tier 7. Some of have the same character from level 1 and some of us had to remake a new character after our previous characters died or left the party.

Ingrid Drakecleaver the Dwarf Bard - Played by Razzman Khaliff
Ulrich von Lichtenstein, the Human Sorcerer - Played by Kelvin Ganesan
Melda, the Gnome Cavalier - Played Tai Kwang
GM - Alex Liew

So in this episode of Heroes of the Imperium, our heroes have returned from a long foray into the undersea kingdoms to deal with Kthanid son of Kthulhu and also obtain the Quintessence of Water in order to forge a weapon capable to killing the mega bad guy Imhotep the Lich.

We start our story in Sandiga a city within the Imperium, where our heroes were semi successful in  thwarting a terrorist attack by Warforged revolutionaries. These Warforged who call themselves The Sons of the God Forge are the followers of someone called Blade who is the very first Warforged.
Picture
The Warforged are a race of sentient machines created with the use of powerful magics long ago for the purpose of war. However, after the war was over these Warforged found themselves without a war to fight and were left without a purpose. Many of them were deactivated but most of them decided to embrace their newfound freedom and decided to live among their human masters in peace. That is until Blade the very first Warforged and the most powerful of his kind decided to rally his people to fight for their equal rights, claim their own land and be given the privilege of worshipping their own god, The God Forge.

Many citizens of the Imperium regard the Warforged as second class citizens and most Warforged are used in dangerous and strenuous labour given their construct-like nature. However, because they do not need to eat, breathe or sleep they are not paid equally as their human counterparts and this is by and large the source dissent among the Warforged thus leading to this revolt.
Picture
The God Forges were powerful forges used by House Cannith long ago to create the Warforged. However after the war had ended the Imperium banned their use and ordered all the God Forges destroyed. However, Blade claims that he has found a God Forge and has rallied his people to worship their one true god. The church of the Imperium does not recognize the legitimacy of this God Forge has since outlawed it's worship and thus this is yet another source of conflict between the humans and the Warforged.
Picture
Returning to the story, our heroes had just stopped the most recent terrorist attack perpetrated by these dissident Warforged, albeit semi-successfully. Because the Warforged were attacking 3 positions simultaneously our heroes had to split up to help members of the Imperium against these separate attacks. Ingrid had teamed up with Varrick, a high ranking Wizard of the Arcane Order to rescue the Governor and his family. Meanwhile Ulrich and Melda went with the High Inquisitor to rescue the High Priest of Pelor and the High Priestess of Sehanine. And lastly Sigma Rage Warforged Paladin of Pelor went his retinue of knights to stop the Followers of the God Forge from blowing up the airship factory.

The result of these missions were somewhat of a success as Ingrid managed to rescue the governor's family safely, while Ulrich managed to only save the High Priest of Pelor and lastly Sigma Rage's team fate is unknown as the factory exploded and as now there are no signs of the paladin or his knights.
Picture
Now at the aftermath of these attacks our heroes are trying to piece together what had happened to Sigma Rage and his men. Ingrid decided to question the captured Warforged while Ulrich and Melda decided to go the wreckage of the airship factory to see if they can find any clues.
Picture
Ingrid found out after questioning one of the Warforged that despite there being 3 attacks in Sandiga that the true objective for these attacks was to capture Sigma Rage alive. As one of the few surviving lieutenants in the war long ago Sigma Rage would be useful to the Followers of the God Forge in dissuading the remaining neutral Warforged to join under Blade's banner. It would seem that Warforged are ranked according to their names, the fewer names they have, the more powerful and higher ranking they were in the war long ago. Being one of the few two named Warforged around Sigma Rage was second only to Blade himself and thus with him joining Blade's revolt it would persuade alot more of the Warforged to join the Followers of the God Forge.
Picture
Meanwhile Ulrich and Melda were investigating the ruins of airship factory and could find little in the means of clues for the location of Sigma Rage. They did however find some sort of key but with no idea where Blade is holed up they would need another lead. Ulrich decides to check up on Ingrid's progress with the interrogation.
Picture
As Ingrid was trying to question the captive Warforged to reveal the location of Blade, suddenly invisible assailants struck out and freed the captive Warforged from their bonds. It would seem that Blade had sent out small Warforged assassins to break out his captured brethren. Ingrid together with the help Varrick and Ulrich managed to destroy the invisible attackers but not before one of them managed to escape, presumably to report to Blade of their failure.

It was evident now that the God Forged Rebellion is more than just a protest of disenfranchised Warforged, they have a sizeable force with advanced weaponry and unified zeal to see their plans through.
Picture
In order to have a plan of action our heroes have called for an emergency council of all the leaders of Imperium to decide how to combat Blade and his revolutionaries. However, gathering all of the leaders will take some time and in the meantime Ingrid has decided to use her divinations to find out more about Blade and his so-called God Forge.

Session report for D&D 5th Edition Eberron: The Breland Unemployment Agency.

So last Saturday I played in my friend Navin's D&D 5th edition game. This was my second time playing this new edition of Dungeons & Dragons, prior to this I played in an intro for the game run by my friend Alex but it was just a one shot so I never got to fully experience this game system. Navin wanted to run a full campaign so I jumped at the opportunity to experience fully what this game had to offer.

So the campaign setting for this game is Eberron and honestly I'm not awfully familiar with the setting, all I know is that Eberron is that campaign setting with Warforged as a race. So our DM Navin has read heavily into the lore and stuff so that definitely makes this interesting game.

Elliantir the Elf Fighter - Played by Razzman Khaliff
Niles Human Cleric of the Silver Flame - Played by Yip Weng San
Vein D'Tharashk Human Rogue - Played by Khi-Jon Chua
GM - Navin Nathaniel Innasi

So, we start off in a city called Sharn which is a sprawling metropolis in the Nation of Breland. Our characters come into a tavern (What campaign doesn't start off in tavern?).
Picture
I rolled an Elf Fighter named Elliantir who is looking for job in the big city after his tribe got wiped out by a band of raiders.
Picture
Khi-Jon played Vein the Human Rogue of House Tharashk, apparently he's some sort of private detective on an assignment to find a noble's missing cat.
Picture
Yip played a Cleric of the Silver Flame named Niles who is eager to convert people to his religion by passing them flyers like some kind of Jehovah's witness.
Picture
Suddenly in comes a half-orc named Argonak who apparently knows Vein and he proceeds to brag about how he had finished not only his mission on behalf of House Tharashk but also managed to finish Vein's mission to find the noble's cat cause he had so much free time and is awesome like that. After berating Vein he then adds insult to injury by paying for everyone's drink and then storms off but not before taking a punch to the face by an angered Vein. Argonak laughs at Vein's feeble attempt at a punch and then walks off, warning Vein that he will report Vein to his superiors about this incident.

So, now with all three of us more less in need for a job find out from the barkeep that we could go to the Breland Unemployment Agency to find a job and since all us were headed in the same direction we decided to go there together.
Picture
Along the way we get accosted by some thugs who apparently did not like the way I walked and  proceeded into a fight, fortunately Vein and Niles decide to back me up and we handily beat up the thugs.

By the time we had reached the offices of the Breland Unemployment Agency however it was already night time and there was also a very long queue of people looking for jobs. Apparently, due to a war in the neighbouring kingdom of Thrane had caused an influx of refuges feeling the war. So we decided to camp out in the streets for the night and during that time befriend a scholar from the Arcanix University who had fallen on hard times.

The next morning the offices opened again and we were interviewed for jobs but before they could match us with a potential employer we had to sign an agreement to adhere to all of Breland's laws. We were then told to meet with someone called Malys D'Cannith for further instructions, apparently House Cannith was in need of capable adventurers to aid them in an expedition.
Picture
When we met with Malys D'Cannith she had us sign non-disclosure agreements before she would tell us any information on the expedition. There had been a schism between members of House Cannith and we told that we were representing Cannith South specifically, aside from that competition with all the other Houses was fierce what with all the recent troubles. We were then told that the expedition was to a place called the Mournlands where there was once a advanced civilization that got destroyed by some sort of cataclysm.

With all introductory business squared we then were given a task by Malys to charter transportation for the crew of ten as well as cargo. It was imperative that no one else knew about the expedition or that House Malys was involved at all and so it was up to us as independent agents to charter a train there in order as to not arouse suspicion among the the other Houses.

As it turned out charting a train for this expedition was quite tricky as not only had we needed to secure a private carriage but we also found out that the freight trains were leaving tonight while the passenger train were only leaving tomorrow morning. And so after much discussion we finally decided to split the crew, my character Elliantir along with Vein would travel with the cargo in the freight train tonight (Apparently the train conductor would not allow Niles to travel with us as he was concerned with Silver Flame related terrorist activities) while Niles and the rest of the crew would travel in the passenger train. The plan was that me and Vein would travel on the freight train arrive at our destination and guard our cargo while waiting for the passenger train the next day.
Picture
While we quite sure that we had managed to get the whole deal without attract much attention that would change when Elliantir and Vein came to board the freight train. An elf wearing a conductor's uniform approached us and had us confirm that we were travelling along with the cargo on behalf of house Cannith, the elf assured us that he would keep all record confidential and that he was merely confirming for record keeping purposes and it seemed legit at the time.

However later we find out that the elf was impersonating a train officer and that we had told "someone" about our involvement with House Cannith. We then start frantically looking around for the elf before our train departed but alas to no avail, Vein even got into some trouble after he angered some elves who were drinking at a bar nearby. With no leads with the elf impersonator we had to cut our losses and just board the train we bid farewell to Niles and told him we would meet up with him and the rest of the crew when his train arrived the next day.
Picture
Meanwhile, in the warehouse district a familiar elf takes off her train conductor disguise and reveals a Dragon Dragonmarked tattoo... TO BE CONTINUED.

Alright, so there you have it my session report for Navin's 5th ed Eberron campaign. So my thoughts on 5th edition is that it's a really barebones iteration of D&D 3rd edition.

Honestly I am used to more complicated systems like Pathfinder but I am really eager to see what characters can do at higher levels and I am especially interested in the character archetypes we can take at lvl 3 as my fighter has choice between becoming a Champion which is your typical heavy hitter, an Eldritch Knight which combines magic and martial ability or a Battlemaster which is like a tricky maneuver guy. I am leaning toward Eldritch Knight as I love my multiclass fighter wizards, basically these archetypes kinda remind of prestige classes in 3.5 but the cool thing being that you can take them sooner rather than around lvl 6-7 as it used to be in 3.5. I definitely am looking forward to playing more to experience the system and this Eberron setting is pretty cool, so yeah.

We usually alternate GMs for our games so expect the continuation of this campaign 2 weeks from now. This has been Razz-to the-Razzy Razzman reporting for Navin's  5th ed Eberron and I'll see you guys next time!

Picture
Hello there everyone it's your pal Razz-to the-Razzy Razzman here once again with another session report for the VTM LARP at Wira Games Shop. Man... it was a wild one, as this is the season finale for this LARP Campaign I will be writing a long one. It will be awhile before we get to play this again.

Kelvin the Toreador - Played by Kelvin Ganesan
Malik the Brujah - Played by Syafiq Ibrahim
Young Prince Vick - Played by Vick Nesh
Danny the Enforcer - Played by Daniel Wolve
Baharuddin the Gangrel - Played by Razzman Khaliff
Raja Putra of the Anarchs - Played by Navin Nathaniel Innasi
Patrick the Toreador - Played by MeowSan De Cuddable Kitty
Saint Nick the Malkavian - Played by Vince Lim

Adam the Nosferatu - Played by Gary

Following the betrayal of Brash the Anarch Warlord who intends to unleash the slumbering ancient beneath Carcossa Seri Negara the Damansara Coterie had to brace for an imminent attack by the Sabbat before they could stop the plans of the traitorous Anarch Warlord.

What resulted was an intense battle between the Damansara Coterie which combined the forces of both the Camarilla and the Anarchs against an army nightmarish flesh abominations created through the Viccisitude discipline on the side of the Sabbat.

Staying true to their reputation as inhuman monsters that cared nothing for the sanctity of life the Sabbat had unleashed their most heinous creation yet... a veritable menagerie of grotesque half-human and half-animal monsters known as Szlatcha as well as hulking monstrosities known as the Vozhd to act as shock troops and cannon fodder. This misshapen army, it would appear was crafted from the flesh and bones of not only the Tzimisce Master's human ghouls but also from the entire animal collection annexed from Zoo Negara. The end result was a unholy mob of chimeric creatures with mismatched bodies and limbs that would put even the creations of the fictional Doctor Moreau to shame. Despite the wave of horrors that descended upon the defenders of Carcossa, our stalwart Kindred heroes consisting of Malik the Brujah bruiser, Kelvin the fleet Toreador, Danny the Walking Armory, Vick the Young Prince, Baharuddin the Gangrel loremaster and new arrival Raja Putra from the Anarchs not only stood valiant against the encroaching mob but also managed to push the monstrous hordes back.

Picture
As the fighting intensified at the main hallway of Carcossa another titanic battle was taking place between High Prince Konigh and the nameless Tzimisce Master, this fight between two vampire elders tore apart much of the opulent interior of Carcossa rending walls and ceilings alike to mere shingles. As this battle raged on, it became increasingly apparent that the Tzimisce Master was too much of a adversary for the High Prince who could only hold back thanks to his prodigious discipline of Fortitude but soon help arrived in the form of Kelvin, Baharuddin, Malik and Danny all whom were bruised and bloodied but otherwise still in fighting shape. The Tzimisce elder unleashed true unbridled fury lashing out with tentacle appendages, Malik and Baharuddin covered the front taking the brunt of the furious elder's attacks reprising with Potence fuelled fists and aggravating Shape of the Beast claw attacks while Danny and Kelvin fired shot after shot from their guns. With the younger kindred keeping the Tzimisce elder occupied, High Prince Konigh was able to launch several decisive attacks of his own methodically wearing down the Tzimisce's defences. Finally, after much time slugging it out with the Master, Konigh vented all his frustration and anger upon the Sabbat elder by repeatedly bashing his body against the vault doors in an effort to break down the threshold protecting Brash and his mind controlled entourage.
Picture
At this point it would seem that the battle is going well... however this whole time unknown to many it would appear that someone has taken it upon himself to secretly record the entire proceedings of tonight's battle royale...

Meanwhile, whilst most of the coterie's attention was focused upon the Sabbat, Brash was able to subjugate important authority figures among the Camarilla through the use of a blood ritual that allowed him to gain utter obedience over anyone whom which he shared a bloodline which included the likes of elders such as Dato' Nusa Mega, leader of the Society of Carcossa and Colonel Julius Diaz, Brujah primogen and leader of the Knights of Tun Templer. He then used the influence of his new pawns to put the entirety of Carcossa Seri Negara's security force under his command to guard the dominated mystics as they undid the seals protecting the slumbering Methuselah beneath Carcossa. However, through the efforts of Young Prince Vick and Raja Putra of the Anarchs whom both used their Presence discipline were able to momentarily disrupt the chanting of the ritual participants. But as it turns out this was but a minor setback as once the ritualists had regained their composure were able to continue their chanting and finally break the seal. In order to force the compliance of the slumbering ancient, Brash instructed his grandchilde Nusa Mega to inject the ancient with a large syringe filled with Brash's blood thus forcing the blood bond upon the ancient.
Picture
What happened next seemed so unreal one would think it was a dream... after countless centuries of peaceful meditation the elder wakened once more but instead of becoming a ravening blood starved elder as everyone would predict he instead exuded an aura of unnatural calm and serenity. With but a gesture the ancient exerted total control over his would-be-subjugator forcing Brash to walk like a puppet dangled upon strings and when the High Prince lashed out trying to kill his old foe Brash or Daeng Parani as he was once known to Konigh many centuries ago, the ancient instead intervened by exerting his will upon Konigh and rendering the High Prince unable to move. The Ancient explained that he was so close to achieve the transcendent state Golconda but this untimely awakening has stirred his dormant Beast to the surface once again. All of the others present could only watch in awe at the majesty of the almost transcendent ancient and then like an ascending angel he flew off into the night sky but not before whisking away with both Daeng Parani and High Prince Konigh but to where? And to what end? No one knows, at least for the time being. With that the battle of Carcossa came to an abrupt end, with countless mangled bodies on the floor and a ravaged interior of the once lavish house of Carcossa as testament to tonight's tumultuous turn of events.

At this point all the kindred present breathe a sigh of relief that the assault upon Carcossa has finally come to an end and most, if not all take a single moment to rejoice in the fact that they had survived another night.

After that almost instantaneously things snap back to reality...

WHAT THE FUCK HAS HAPPENED!?!? The ancient is free and he took with him two of the most powerful kindred in East Malaysia... NOT TO MENTION SOMEBODY HAS FUCKED THE MASQUERADE BY TAKING A VIDEO OF THE WHOLE THING ON HIS DAMNED SMARTPHONE!!!

Immediately, Danny points his gun at the perpetrator, Patrick Sim the Torrie. Using his celerity the coward hides behind Vick, the hammer is cocked and Danny's gun is pointed right at the Prince... everyone else is fuming their eyes locked upon that shifty son of a bitch. Vick yells in protest to stop Danny from firing his gun, meanwhile all fingers point to Patrick blaming and cursing him for not only watching from the sidelines but threatening the Masquerade by recording the entire thing on his smartphone camera. The timing could not have been worse... after all that this? After all the betrayal witnessed today THIS!??! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!?!? Eventually Danny holsters his weapon and the kindred discuss their next move.
Picture
Next stop, Elysium. We need to figure this shit out...

After taking some time to settle down everyone got down to discuss matters. Firstly was to have Patrick surrender his smartphone with the recording of tonight's brawl, to which Patrick obliged after some deliberation.

As for the matter of the Masquerade, Carcossa has to be cleaned up of all supernatural remains before the press and the authorities arrive, time to set the ghouls to work.

With a significant loss of leadership among various factions of the Camarilla and Anarchs, the main agenda was now to consolidate power and find suitable replacements for the missing leaders with Volkar becoming the new leader of the Carcossans, Vick as temporary acting Prince of Kuala Lumpur, Malik will be acting head for Knights of Tun Templer until a suitable candidate can be found and Anarchs to elect a new Warlord of their choosing.

There was also the matter of Colonel Julius Diaz who promptly surrendered after Brash's control over him had been disrupted, his betrayal this night along with his previous failures to come to the defense of the Camarilla from Sabbat attacks rendered him stripped of his position as leader of the Knights of Tun Templer.

Next came the matter of the Black Archives, with all its text now translated by Baharuddin's ghoul Mr. Yong revealed that the Kuei Jin or Cathayans or Kindred of the East as they sometimes called in the west around the Klang Valley area have been kept at bay all this while thanks to a "peaceful aura" surrounding the area. Volkar also admitted to the fact that he had  contributed to the contents of Black Archives by planting a false prophecy one that Brash has naively believed which ultimately led to Brash's downfall and betrayal.

It was quickly surmised that the source of the aura was indeed the Ancient seeing as it had been spending all this time meditating and contemplating Golconda. However this meant that with the Ancient gone that the Kuei Jin would inevitably make their return and that any kind of encounter would not likely be amicable given the history of two supernatural races.

With the betrayal of Brash and the realization that no matter what sect he is on that he can never escape being used by the elders, Baharuddin has had a change of heart and decided to secede from the Anarchs and once again rejoin his coterie members in the Camarilla as part of Prince Vick's court. He always considered his coterie members to be his true family and that despite the powers that be that it was better to face these Final Nights alongside trusted friends. Subsequently he also relinquished his hold over the Black Archives and surrendered the text to the Camarilla as a token of good faith with the condition that it's contents in regards to the Kuei-Jin was shared with both the Camarilla and the Anarchs.

On to the matter of Patrick Sim the Toreador who took upon himself to film the entire spectacle of the battle. It was indeed a huge breach of Masquerade and yet he made no efforts to try and hide what he did. He claimed that he did it in order record the abilities of the Ancient and to keep what he considered to be valuable data for future research. However the risk of a Masquerade breach was too great and in the end it was agreed upon that the recording be destroyed thus preventing any more breaches to Masquerade. Patrick claims that this whole time he was acting on behalf of the Prince of Penang to help Vick's coterie but when he asked for the Prince to vouch for him, Prince Red ultimately decided that it was best to cut Patrick loose and send a new, more capable agent.

In recognition of Raja Putra's efforts in the defense of Carcossa he was made the official liaison between the Anarchs and the Camarilla. He would also be given a seat in future Elysium meetings that were not internal Camarilla affairs. As a further condition to ultimately return the Black Archives to the Anarchs, Kelvin proposed that Brash's underground fight club be jointly owned by the Anarchs and Camarilla to instill further cooperation and good relations between the two sects.

Also, to ensure that there no more elements of Brash's treachery remained within the ranks of Anarchs, the joint Elysium council decided that an agent be sent to sniff out any and all fanatics to Brash's cause. To this end they sent out Saint Nick the Malkavian Inquisitor to employ his considerable powers of Auspex to weed out any remnants of Brash's influence, accompanying him would be Kelvin just as a precaution knowing the volatility of one of Malkav's blood.

Lastly in order to learn more about the Kuei-Jin and how to deal with them for the benefit of all the Kindred of Kuala Lumpur, Baharuddin has agreed to partner up with Patrick to learn all they can from the Black Archives. All findings will be shared with every Kindred regardless of sect as the threat of the Kuei-Jin would be the concern of all. Furthermore, any Kuei-Jin related incidents must be brought up so as the proper responses can be enacted.

With that all the Kindred departed for a well deserved respite from tonight's unravelling. While there will no doubt be an accounting for when the press and the police descend upon Carcossa all evidence of supernatural involvement will be wiped clean. No doubt a likely scenario will have to be fabricated in order to preserve the Masquerade.

Judging from the magnitude of tonight's breach to the Masquerade it has been agreed upon that all Kindred involved keep their heads low until the whole affair has had time to settle down which means that it will be awhile before the Coterie of Damansara can convene like this again. While no doubt some relief can be reaped from tonight's incident with the loss of both Brash and the High Prince, the looming threat of Kuei-Jin could be just around the corner...

And that, my friends is the season finale for this VTM LARP chronicle: Damansara by Night!
Picture
While many questions have been answered it would seem that there now new intrigues have been added to the mix, such as Where is the Ancient now? And what of the fate of Brash and the High Prince? With Konigh gone, what of Sirius Black the Sheriff? What other secrets could the Black Archives hold? Is the threat Sabbat truly been eliminated? When will the Kuei-Jin emerge and what are their plans for the Kindred?

All this and more will have to wait until confirmation for a second season of this chronicle can be discussed. Until then this whole LARP campaign has been a great success with steadfast interest for it's continuity assured.

Until then, folks remember to drink your vitae and keep away from the sun's harsh light. On behalf of all the players I would like to thank our wonderful GMs Tun Kai Poh, Chang Yee Fong and Sacha Djikshoorn for providing us with such a memorable experience. This has been your pal Razz-to the-Razzy Razzman doing his part to report our gaming exploits and I'll see you guys next time!
