What is up you guys, it's me Razz-to the-Razzy Razzman here once with another session report for D&D 5th edition Eberron. This will be continuation of the 5th ed game my pal Navin ran last week.
Eliantir the Elf Fighter - Played by Razzman Khaliff
Niles the Human Cleric - Played by Yip Weng San
Vein D'Tharashk the Human Rogue - Played by Khi-Jon Chua
Krav the Warforged Bard - Played by Sharvan Bhojwani
GM - Navin Nathaniel Innasi
Now in our last episode of Eberron we left our heroes just as they had chartered a train for an expedition to the Mournlands. This expedition is paid for by House Cannith South and their employer Malys D'Cannith gave explicit orders to keep the expedition on the down low as they do not want any of their rivals knowing about it. However despite best efforts it would seem that an agent from an unknown house has managed to use trickery to find out about the expedition. Although the party had tried to find this mysterious agent alas, they were unsuccessful and had no choice but to take the freight train leaving for the Mournlands.

Aside from the setback with someone knowing about the expedition the heroes decide to continue on and proceed with the journey. As agreed upon previously Eliantir and Vein will board the freight train and guard the cargo for the expedition. Although they arrived safely at their destination a few surprises happened along the journey such as an overzealous monk blowing up the rear end of the train after finding out that some of the passengers were smuggling slaves or some such and Eliantir finding out that part of the cargo they were carrying contained within it a re-activated warforged. Eliantir and Niles decide to keep the existence of the Warforged a secret until Malys arrives to decide what to do with it.
Meanwhile, Niles along Malys and the rest of her entourage with addition of a "mysterious" elven lady named Ellandra board the passenger train bound for the Mournlands. Niles true to his Silverflame nature made the otherwise uneventful trip interesting by being particularly ornery to the train staff. Later at one stop before reaching the Mournlands causes trouble with local authorities after causing obstruction of justice by allowing a juvenile thief to escape because he wrongfully believed that the kid was innocent and when brought in for questioning he almost misses the train but manages to get back on just in time after using a dirty trick to evade capture.
The party is reunited when Niles along with Malys and her entourage arrive in the Mournlands. When enquired about the "surprise" content of the cargo by Eliantir and Vein, Malys proclaims that she had no idea that the Warforged was there or that he along with un-activated brethren were ever part of the intended cargo for this expedition. The Warforged who announces himself as Krav who says that his last memory was serving in the war hundred of years ago which of course is consistent with the general history of the Warforged who were created to serve the in the war for House Cannith. Malys inducts Krav into the group and elects him chief of security given his experience on the battlefield.
Later, the party decides to rest for the night before setting tomorrow for the journey into the Mournlands. Eliantir, Vein and Niles note with some suspicion the latest addition to the expedition, Malys' new elven friend Ellandra who conveniently joined up at the very last minute it seems. It was not long before their suspicions were aroused further when Malys became the victim of theft in the night by a mysterious agent. The thief had managed to run off with some jewelery and more importantly Malys' divining rods which were essential to finding the way through the Mournlands. The only one with Malys at the time? Malys elven friend, Ellandra of course. But with nothing concrete to prove their suspicion the party decide to keep their theories to themselves. The party did of course try to locate the thief but were unsuccessful , managing only find a suspect who unsurprisingly did not have the items in her possession.
Nevertheless the expedition proceeded as planned the next day with everyone packed and ready. The loss of Malys' Divining Rods would make the journey ahead difficult but not impossible, Malys decides to leave the task of tracking and navigation to the group's tracker Elliantir. The first steps into the Mournlands would prove to the most trying with Malys explaining that a constant magical storm surrounds the boundary of the Mournlands and getting lost would be easy with the chaotic magical energies kicking up sandstorms. But nonetheless our heroes proceed into the threshold of the unknown...
